UK Chess Academy (UKCA) organises chess events in the UK and the UKCA team teach chess at various schools around London as well as give private 1-to -1 chess lessons.

Sainbayar Tserendorj

Founder

The founder of UKCA, is an experienced chess coach and set up the UKCA to promote chess in the UK and raise the quality of chess players. He has coached many of the top players in the UK at early stages of their chess career and gave them a good foundation.


Michael Basman

President

President of UKCA, is an International Master of chess and has been teaching chess in Surrey for over 30 years. He was the creator of the UK Chess Challenge (now known as Delancey Schools Chess Challenge), the biggest junior chess tournament in the UK and worldwide.


Anuurai Sainbayar

Co-founder

Co-founder of UKCA, is a chess enthusiast with many years of experience teaching chess and organising chess events. She is a FIDE certified FIDE Trainer and International Arbiter.

We have a new venue for regular chess events! 

VENUE: Bond House, 19-20 Woodstock Street, Mayfair, W1C 2AN.

Junior Club (ages 4-18)  runs on Sundays from 1pm-4pm. 

Beginners 13:00 – 14:30 

Advanced 14:30 – 16:00 

Adult Club runs on Tuesday evenings from 7pm.
